How do u react when deceitful ppl are treated with more respect?

yes i hate being with people that do although it makes life hard because everyone around me is deceitful and seems to get more respect while i try to tell the truth and basically get treated like i don't exist
I care but then I realize that it is b/c its common sense to keep your friends close.. and your enemies closer...
respect is a way of keeping them closer
I avoid people who pay more respect to deceitful people than they do to others more deserving. Think about it. They must either be deceitful themselves or lack good judgment or be unbalanced in any number of ways to fall for the superficiality of guile. Observing that behavior in people who fall for deceitful people, and associating that behavior with poor judgment and/or weak character, is one way I decide whom not to respect.
If you are calling blatant self promotion deceit, then you need to get in the game.
