I think I would stayed in the colorguard and be a ***** right back. She should've understood your situation, and that it wasn't your fault. But on the other hand, you probably didn't need that kind of stress. Oh hell, just go let the air out of her tires, you'll feel better.
I was in Colorguard while in highschool, and it was one of the best experiences and created some of my fondest memories of my past. We only had a coach our first year and then we were kind of on our own and our band director let us do our own thing with no real coaching. Only in my senior year did we have a sponsor, and that was only because for many of our competitions we had to have one as stated by the rules (basically an adult that could answer for us). Anyway, your coach should have understood. As far as if you should have quit or not, that is a question you have to answer for yourself. You may no longer have to deal with the coach, but was colorguard something you truly enjoyed? Was quitting just the heat of the moment? If it were me, I would have stayed on the team and dealt with the coach, but I am not you and I don't know the coach. If you are regretting quitting, than you probably shouldn't have quit.
