Why are bankers/ accountants stereotyped as boring individuals is because of the general profession?
or are a majority of them are actually boring? I'm a professional banker my self and I really cant seem to get an explanation

They are not in professions that require any artistic creativity or display an impressing example of leadership, hence the stigma.

They are mainly boring in a social sense. Doesn't mean they aren't intersting in other aspects. They just have very logical/practical minds, or points of view, making them "boring".
I believe it's because sometimes their jobs can be boring, but it's totally wrong because their boredome can make them very entertaining people.
Well I'm a banker too but I think it's because they say bankers/accountants aren't very creative and all they think about is #'s (or golf from my exp.). Uptight.
Because accounting used to be a tedious and laborious job. Until the Abacus, which helped the Aztecs. they had to add long rows of figures of dollars and cents and not make any mistakes, which mean arduous checking , double-checking, -then someone else had to recheck. Then the re-checker got checked again a few more times.
