Why can't I think, why do I have trouble figuring out what I feel?
Answer:
You may be more concerned with giving what you perceive will be an acceptable answer rather than saying what you really feel.
All of us do that. In many cases, it is necessary to project a certain persona in certain situations. Some thoughts and declarations of those thoughts are not always appropriate in certain social or academic settings.
I suggest that you spend some time and energy analyzing the human psyche and the art of interpersonal communication. Make it a scientific study rather than attempting to grasp for feelings that may not be appropriate anyway.
Through maturation and life experiences, you will naturally acquire this gift of gab.
You are not dumb. You don't say how old you are, but it just sounds like you are in a place in your life where your confused about who you are and where you fit in. Self confidence is something you have to build and it's not easy sometimes, and it can be torn down so easily by yourself and others. Another reason may be you are afraid of public speaking and of being in crowds of people. This is a fear many people have and it can be overcome. Medicines and behavioral therapy can help you work through why you feel this way. You can speak and make yourself heard, you asked this question didn't you?! :-) Keep trying and get the help you need to be a stronger person.
