i think the inclination towards pedophilia stems from deep psychological issues/possibly trauma, but acting on such urges is certainly a choice (and a decidedly mislead one at that!!).

I think the current theory is that "true" pedophilia is not a choice. It is a sexual orientation. However, some individuals who sexually abuse children are not pedophiles. They are "opportunistic" abusers - individuals who take advantage of a child as an outlet for their sexual needs, but who aren't primarily oriented toward children. For those individuals, it is a choice.
I think that some times it is caused by psychological issues, or being abused them selves. How ever, I think like with any other sexual preference/fetish, some times it is not a choice. It is just something they enjoy, as disturbing as it is to every one else.
No, because the child cannot choose to engage in sexual activity.... The child is violated..
