What human philosophies or courses of action do you find particularly fulfilling to witness?

there are things people do and believe as they quietly go about their business in this world that are exceptionally... fulfilling. maybe that's not the best word, but it's the one that occurs to me when i witness or contemplate human activities or philosophies that tie in to knowledge, experience, or confidence we have or may have always had as a species.

instances such as: a connection to some past or lost wisdom, an inventive unique twist on an already established concept, an inroad into a collective consciousness we all share as humans that only shows up in enlightened moments. when these moments are witnessed or contemplated, to me that qualifies as a most 'fulfilling' moment in my life.

if you can find a way to verbalize or describe this too, and jot down a few things you've seen or done that qualify in your book, i'd be most interested in hearing about them. also perhaps a better way of refining and describing the concept. thanks for sharing, hope someone gets my drift.

Something most of us forgot to learn as children...
"sticks and stones may break my bone but names/words can never hurt me"

The world would be a whole lot less obsessed with political correctness if people could just ignore the BS thrown their way and just get on with their lives ignoring those with meaningless and otherwise hurtful opinions. Why care what people think? What someone thinks has no value unless you choose give it some. I think the best example of this is gay people that have chosen to come out, having had a few friends come out, I cannot think of a more difficult true to life example, other than perhaps in choice of religious beliefs.

I like seeing people stand up for what they believe in, that does not mean I believe in imposing it on others by virtue of force or violence. Live and let live.

Bottom line is who are you for me to care what you think? worse yet, choose to feel bad or hurt for the sake of nonsense that is nothing more than wasted breath.
opinions are like... everyones got one.
From www.merriam-webster.com:

epiphany

3 a (1) : a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2) : an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) : an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure b : a revealing scene or moment

Is this what you are describing? Having an epiphany is a truly magnificent emotional event. I usually have those when I realize that what I've been stressing about is nothing more than an illusion. I usually end up laughing almost hysterically after having one of these. Then, there's that instantaneous jolt of figuring out how to solve a puzzle that's been pestering me for a while. That, too, usually ends with laughter or a hearty "EUREKA!"
