Would it be better to win $50,000,000 or earn it the hard way?
Answer:
it depends
if you absolutely NEEDED it in the literal sense for a good reason right away then win
otherwise earn. and if you won it you should help out friends/maybe charities and not be concided about it.
It would be better to earn it the hard way because then you would respect it more and not just waste it as quickly as youve earned it...but if you win it then your mindset is "I can do it again probably" so you would spend the money more readily...
Plus earning it gives you more of a feeling of success, relief, and pride (in a good sense) whereas winning it gives you pride (in a bad sense), greed, and selfishness.
It all depends on how apathetic you are, and how motivated you are. The answer will differ from one man to another woman, to another man. It will change depending on the motivation factor within each individual. A lazy man isn't going to work that hard. An industrious man will.
So;
a lazy man would rather win the $50,000,000.00 :
an industrious man will earn his right to the $50,000,000.00.
However .if by chance (and it is all a matter of chance) either one of them happened to win the $$$$ then I'm sure neither one of them would turn it down.
I definitely want something for nothing.
You would feel proud of yourself if you earned it the hard way but it would be awsome if you just won it.
as long as you obtain it legally, i think it's more important WHAT you do with the money than how you got it. if Ed McMahon (sp.) showed up at my door, i really don't think i'd respond with, "sorry, Ed... i'd really rather earn it the old fashioned way." lol.
earn it, it wouldnt really be worth anything if you didnt earn it yourself...
For you or me? ;) I'd rather win it, but yes, it's probably more satisfying and good for one's personal development to earn it. However, with that kind of money, I could buy satisfaction and personal development.
YES, No to the last bit.
You don't earn that kind of dosh, ever.
To amass large amounts of money requires your good fortune to be linked with people positioned to exploit the circumstances.
The money comes from somewhere, either through exploitation of workers, tax evasion, excessive high street prices etc.
The Churches and other such percieved charities invest their money in the world market to achieve best returns.
It would be sadly nieve not to believe that they are complicit in the exploitation of 3rd world opportunities via their investments; not vestments.
The pulpit rhetoric is well honed and edited for the consumption of the congregation.
I'd like to talk from personal experience regarding the 50M but not the case.
I can imagine the awsome impact that experience would have on myself and acknowledge the responsibility it would bring.
The facts are that some people would crumble under that weight and accelerate their demise, either phyically or morally.
