Are you afraid of heights?
Answer:
I'm not. It's the fall with the stop at the bottom I'm afraid of.
All I can say is, the more I face a fear, the better I'm able to deal with it.
This would be more of a medical trouble because psychology does not deal with heights sorry, I’m the same as you most of the time but I don’t get sick never or pass out . But would I do is take deep breaths and start for 100 and count back and it works.I hope my answer ameliorate you .
I don't get scared of heights, when you are at heights do not look down.
Yes! Last year my nephew wanted me to go on a "small" Ferris wheel w/ him... I thought I was gonna have a panic attack! When I go to the mountains I have to close my eyes when we get on the parkway because of all those sick drop offs! People think I'm crazy too... They'll get over it!
I am , when i am in buildings and they have floors like 10 or 11 i don't look down! I don't know how to over come it either!
yeah im afraid of heights too..i dont even like airplanes because i always think they are going to crash...i dont get on rides that cause me to be too high up in the air either..i hate elevators and escalators too
I have same problem!! I get so scared when I look down from tall buildings.my legs start shivering
Sorry to hear that. I too refuse to go on elevators and high rises unless I really have to. If I do end up in a very tall building, I either avoid the windows or if I do look out, I look at the horizon rather than the ground.
Have you ever thought about trying hypnosis or exposure therapy?
I am absolutely terrified of heights!! I wnet on the Tower of Terror at Disneyland and never had I been so scared in my entire life. While waiting in line to get on I started to hypervenalate. When I actually got on the ride the doors close and its pitch black, I started screaming like there was no tomorrow. It continually drops you up and down from extreme heights and I cried. Never again will I go on that ride, unfortunetly I pinky promised my bff that I would go on it with her when we go to D-land in 2 weeks. =[
As for your fears just try and face them and if that doesn't work (usually doesn't get rid of fear) atleast you'll know that you were brave enough to face it!
I'm not afraid of heights. I'm afraid of falling. Picket fences are especially scary.

I, too, am petrified of heights, so you're are definitely not alone! What's awkward about this is that I'm 6' 2'', so most people think it odd that someone whose tall would have a fear of heights.
The fear was instilled in me at a quite young age-2 or 3...and I'm 37 yrs. old. At the time, my babysitter's brother, with only the best of intentions, swung me around in the air. He lost his grip & I flew several feet in the air & landed on the ground. The fall gave me a concusion (sp?). From then on, I would scream in terror whenever anyone would pick me up. My fear of heights was inset from that point on.
I have yet to conquer my fear of heights, though I've tried several times unsuccessfully. I've taken skylift rides that slowly increase in elevation, to gradually adjust to the high height...no such luck!
No matter how hard I tried & did my best to convince myself that I was ok, that there was nothing to be afraid of, that it's in my head, the moment I looked down, the fear gripped me down to my very soul! The fear was paralyzing, it was awful!
I don't mind going up to high areas as long as there's a large amount of flooring & I'm not near the edge. Going up ladders, open escalators, elevators, etc., still scare me to no end.
Over the years, I've made several attempts to overcome my phobia, but to no avail. I think the only way that even my fear of heights wouldn't deter me is if either of my sons were in danger in a high area. No matter how terrified I'd be, my son's safety would take presedence over my phobia. I'd get to my sons no matter what.
