Bad date.schizophrenic? sociopath?

I dated a guy a couple of times and he was not right mentally. If I ordered a sandwich I was "all over the sandwich maker" even with a tall counter between us. My friend's husband who I can't stomach pulled up a chair to talk and he was "all over me". I was "doing" my gay male friends. He screamed that I was a liar and cheating and the town tramp yet I know he didn't believe it because he always keeps trying to contact me. How would he be described?

Answer:
Let's see... controlling, insecure, abusive, jerk and a couple more that Yahoo won't let me use. I think those are a good start.

Maybe he was a mama's boy.
someone with low self esteem that has been cheated on and now expects it all the time from everyone. or a nut.
Extreme jealousy, paranoia, insecurity?
He would be described as a jealous, neurotic freakshow. Just run. Dont even waste energy trying to figure him out.
Sounds more like a case of paranoia, trust issues and insecurity all rolled into one. Best to save yourself the headaches and keep a distance until he gets help.
Could be any number of things, but he's definitely got some type of issue(s). I would venture to say they're beyond just the typical "jealousy" or "bad experiences" though. Seems a bit extreme.

My friend is dating someone right now who is EXACTLY like this. He is bi-polar. Even though he's on meds, he still calls her 40 times a day (no joke) and if she doesn't answer he accuses her of doing something bad. She's at WORK, who is she going to sleep with here? We're in an office! He just doesn't use good old fashioned common sense, it's like he comes up with these scenarios that only make sense to him.
a schizophrenic is out of touch with reality, which is what this guy sounds like. A sociopath, or psychopath, knows exactly what he is doing, is usually superficially glib and charming, and uses others up. Not your guy here. And you can be glad of it, there is nothing worse that getting mixed up with a psychopath.
He is someone you want to leave alone and not date anymore - if he is like this now, can you imagine what will be like if you got sexually involved or if the relationship when to a new level.

Sometimes we get warning signs, and yours should be flashing and going off "DANGER, DANGER, DANGER, LEAVE HIM ALONE, LEAVE HIM ALONE, RUN FOR THE CLOSET EXIT, DO NOT ACCEPT PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS."
Psycho jealous
Paranoid and possessive? I'm pretty paranoid myself in relationships and possessive too. But at my worst I'd be nowhere near as bad as this guy sounds - After dating someone for about 6 months!

Hope this helps!
He sounds like both..stay far away!
There is nothing wrong with mentally ill people like me. You should just be more direct with a person like this next time. Watch the movie knocked up, in a breakfast date the girl leaves the guy there because he's being a jerk.
Paranoid? Delusional? Stay as far away from the freak as you can! You never know what they're capable of.
Two words: Restraining Order
Three (more) words: New phone number

Aside from extreme jealousy and insecurity (I've been on dates with those kind as well), this guy has serious issues and therefore should be looked at as a possible threat to your safety. You see things on the evening news about relationships that start out like this and they never end well for the girl involved.

The guy clearly has issues with women and would go even further to say his dad probably abuses(d) his mother. I would make it VERY clear to this guy that he is not to contact you ever again or you will involve the authorities. No tolerance.
I'd say he's deranged. How men like this ever think they're good enough to date anybody, I'll never know. It's like trying to teach a blind person how to drive. And he's behaving like this only after a couple of dates?! No matter how you may describe him, you might just want to be blisteringly direct and tell him you are no longer interested in him or his suffocating and demeaning behavior. He wants to keep contacting you to continue playing out his insecurities and dellusionment on you. If he keeps up with harassing you, you're going to need to get the law involved (or a couple of body-builder friends to take him in the alley...)

Good luck. Sometimes good girls are duped by the deranged.
