The greatest problem with stupid people is they do not believe they are stupid. Even with the IQ of a fruit fly, they perceive themselves to be pretty smart. This is why our prisons are full of people who only got as far as fourth grade because some teachers were kind.
Stupid people can be convinced of damn near anything. which is why Katrina evacuees are still sitting on their butts in Houston, fully believing they are entitled and the government should continue to pay their rent and groceries because they had to leave their homes in August, 2005.

I dont think there's a correlation between lazy/negative and IQ. You can be one, the other, neither, or both.
No, I know some very hard working (stupid) people. Also, I find stupid people are usually quite upbeat because they haven't got the intelligence to be negative.
