Psychology qUEstions?

the statement “there are no differences between male and female performance on tests of general intelligence”
a. is not supported by carefully designed research.

b. is not surprising, because IQ tests were designed to eliminate differences between males and females.

c. reflects an alpha bias.

d. is generally true, with the exception that strongly gender-typed females tend to score better than most people.

Answer:
b.

The goal of IQ tests in not about eliminating anything but asking question to test intelligence, not emotional reactions on social situations, so the gender issue has got nothing to do with anything. When people are taking IQ tests to see who has a higher score, it is the indivuduals competing, not the genders.

What an absurd question, if you don't mind me saying so.

By the way, only a guy would turn this into a pissing contest. If you boys are done hosing the page with testosterone, could we get on to topics of more substance? Luv U.
