Does forgiving require forgetting?
Answer:
Forgiving is the letting go of a resentment you have towards someone. You stop clinging to what happened and calling the person(s) out on it constantly when you're around them. When someone hurts you it leaves a deep emotional scar. After you have chosen to forgive the pain gets easier in time. You'll always remember but at a less and less degree as time goes by. Eventually it's just a memory without the horrible feelings attached.
It's easy enough to forgive, far harder to forget. And maybe you shouldn't, just don't obsess about it.
I never forget.
If I am wronged by someone, and they apologize, I am very willing to forgive them. However, I'm not willing to fall victim to the same thing ever again--that's where remembering comes in.
I can forgive , but never forget....
Forgetting is not always such a good thing. It's difficult to learn from our past if we don't reflect on the negative events we've had to face in our lives.

Because from the bottom of your heart you have forgiven someone doesn't mean that you all of suddenly got amnesia of the situation. I believe the term “forgive and forget” means that you don’t harbor ill will towards the person that has wronged you and you have forgiven. I you forgive a person for something they have done and then they do the same thing to you again, it would be wise to forgive them again, yet understand what you are dealing with from the particular individual.
To forgive doesnt mean you always forget it takes a certain degree of maturity on our part to get over it and live your life fully

Don't want for more
You got enough
For both of us
Oh, forgiveness
All these tryers trying to reach me
Hoping i can serve them meaning
Commit yourself to reason failing
Extreme comforts ever pleasing
Shattered I slept
But I heard in a dream
God gives his love
To those who forgive.
