Is confidence genetic??
I was wondering if confidence is inherited or you just learn it. I know you can become confident if your not but can you be born with it?
Answer:
You are born with the personality traits you have, like to be shy or outgoing. Confidence isn't really a personality trait, however...its more like a state of mind or part of self-esteem. People can be outgoing yet insecure, or people can be shy yet confident about who they are. So confidence is more an acceptance and liking of who you are as a person, that often translates into behavior. In my opinion, confidence comes from validating life experiences and a good understanding of who you are (this is not genetic).
Some babies are born bold, others are tentative. But children of any temperament can learn confidence if they are successful at what they do and are encouraged.
I think confidence is a learned behaviour. If your parents build your self esteem you are likely to more confident than someone who's parents destroyed their self esteem.
i don't think so. i don't know much about psychology but in my opiinion confidence comes to other and skips some. you can have really outgoing people with a shy child, or vice versa. i think its a matter of circumstances.
