To be "listless" one would have lack of interest, not motivated...no enthusiasm,,could be diet, medical, or just not interested.
I would suggest a complete check up for iron deficiency, and something physical first. Eliminate physical problems first.
Then I would look at a change of classes, work place, home life, or any thing that has just recently happened in that persons life to alter their disposition, especially
