How can we save our children from drugs.?
Answer:
Drugs are a serious problem, less so the soft kind. I think that the approach to drug education is very wrong. The reason people take drugs is mainly through curiosity; the media does a very good job of constantly reminding us that they exist. The reason they continue taking them is because it feels good; for a short time. When the good times are over, the user is addicted. Once addicted, the users life is then dominated by their search for the next 'fix.' Once the fix is got, then it's the next fix, and the next fix, and so on and so on and so on. A user's entire life is consumed with finding the next supply of syringe filler. Children at school are not told that after a small number of very enjoyable experiences, their life will be completely destroyed; more or less. All they get from school is: 'just say no' or 'you're expelled' while all the time the curiosity remains. Kids 'must' be made aware that drugs, at first, feel great. However, after only a few good experiences, their life will be reduced to nothing more than a search for their next fix. They will sell everything they own, they will steal from everybody, they will lie, they will be arrested and get a criminal record; their lives will be utterly destroyed, just so they can inject into their arm something that costs a fortune and does nothing more than make living bearable, until they need their next injection.
Talk to them about it. Make sure they understand the dangers. Keep a close eye on their friends.
put them in jail to save them
Talk to them. Thats the only way explain what it does to your system. Don't trust someone else to do it you have to do it.
Love them. Play and nurture them. Even if it means that you have to stay at home to raise them. The reason so many children have issues of late is because parents are not at home raising them properly, but out working 60 hour work weeks and listen to stupid people telling 'em how to raise them.
talk to them about drugs at a very early age and keep talking to them as they get older. answer any questions they may have. you can rent books fro your local library that can help you talk to your children about drugs. you can find some good ones in bookstores that you can you buy. the end result is that no matter what. no matter how much you talk to them. it is still decision to try drugs. i was very fortunate with my son. when his friends tried to get him to try drugs he said no and found new friends; hopppefully your children will do the same if approached. you might try acting out scenarios concerning different ways of being offered drugd. some with friends ,some with strangers, ect. have your children come up with things on their own of saving no to drugs so that they become comfortable with saying NO. stay on top of your kids. where they are going, who are they going with, what are they going to be doing, what time are they going to be coming home ect. BLESS you and GOOD LUCK.
