We are all born right handed, its just the gifted ones that change. Statistically speaking left handed people live 9 years less than their slightly less intelligent right handed brothers and sisters
They're not smarter. They just tend to be more analytical and logical. Also, just because you're right handed does not mean that you are left brained.

That whole right handed thing is a myth. Long ago people believed that anything having to do with the left was bad, devil related. So a lot of kids that were growing up and were left handed were forced by their parents to use their right hand.Also, your right side of your brain controls the left side of your body and vice versa. And a lot of very famous people were left handed. Check out these sites for more detailed information on this.

In years and years of psychology classes/courses/practice I have never been taught or seen any evidence that left or right handed people are more or less intelligent. The right side of the brain does not CONTROL the left side of the body and vice versa. Some people with severe epilepsy have had their corpus callosum (connecttion between two hemispheres) cut to stop their seizures and they are still able to walk around as usual. The left and right sides of the brain are near identical (we have two of each of the major structures) so it wouldn't make sense to say the "left" side of the brain is smarter, because the left side is pretty much the same as the right side.
