How come i could never hate a person?

i really can never hate a person. all my friends can say oh that kids a loser or i hate him or something rude and mean, but i cannot no matter who mean or evil the person is, i just can't HATE him.

why is this? i have always wondered about it but never asked.

Answer:
I think you are more intelligent and able to understand or sympathize with the person's feelings or circumstances, rather than just write them off as a prick and hate them. This says that you are very intelligent and have a caring heart. The last thing I would do it question myself as being the weird one here and definitely don't let your friends influence you to second guess yourself. They sound like a bunch of pricks.
You've realized that hatred is wasted effort. If you don't like someone, why waste time on them.Just don't worry about them.
Because someone did a good job raising you. Dont change.
It takes a lot more effort to hate than to love. You are a kind person living without hate inside. Good for you!!
Because you have a beautiful soul. I know this because I am the same way. Even when I'm mad at someone, I think about how they feel and how I would feel if someone were mean to me and then I feel sorry for them and cannot hate them.

Someone I love told me quite simply, "We all have to live."

Even the roaches that most people find disgusting are just looking for food to raise thier families, and probably wondering why the humans are so mean to them to spray them on sight.

Be proud, you may be unable to hate because you are slightly more highly evolved. Like Ghandi.
Hate is just as powerful as love, the word and emotion. To actually HATE someone is quite dramatic just as love is intense. Do you love or like people? Also, hating someone takes up a lot of energy ;-)
You've evidentally avoided meeting my second ex-wife, Darla.
Just knowing her makes it second nature-why in no time at all you'll be hating with all the wrath of an experienced evil dictator. With all the intensity of the white-hot heat of a thousand suns. Meaningful, well-placed hate, too. The kind that makes you grimace; twist the knife.
Any luck at all, you'll never meet up, and your little world will avoid hatred altogether. Good for you.
Hate implies putting all your energy into negative feelings towards that person/object/idea - I don't know about you, but I'm too lazy to hate someone. Sounds like too much hard work.
well this could be because you realize that hatred is a poison that will continue to destroy you if you give in to it; it takes too much effort and energy to put into hating someone when you can just not be bothered with them and you can place this energy elsewhere into something productive; or READ CLOSELY this can be a defense mechanism ..i think it is reaction formation. where we dont admit we dislike a person and we may even have the tendency to be nice towards them it may not be this last one but it is food for thought and it is an explanation like the rest!
