What did you want to be when you grew up and did you follow that childhood dream?

I mean what did you want to be when you were age 6 or younger and did you follow that dream?

Answer:
Not as early as six, GeminiJeanna, but not too long after I learned to read, I knew I wanted to be a writer. And even at that young age, I started writing. I was so serious about it at that age, that the nuns encouraged me. But when my Dad found out I was really serious about it, he discouraged me. He told me I could never support myself as a writer. Over the years I kept dabbling with writing as I pursued my education, a career. A career I didn't really want - I wanted to be a writer. The career taught me a lot though, experience and skills that I have been able to use in my writing. I am struggling now to finish a book, and think it would've been so much easier if my childhood dream and aspiration had been honored. I also had very bad depression, which I think came about because I was not doing that which I was born to do.
All I can ever remember wanting to be was a wife and mother..got that but had to have a career too because of the economy.
no i wanted to be a truck driver but i am a stylist, i am glad for the change of plans
I remember as early as 8 I wanted to be a photographer. I followed my dream but not until I did other things. I am now a photographer and loving it.
I wanted to dig up dino bones. I ended up at Technical College to be a secretary/receptionist because my mom said that I didn't have the patience for 12 years of college and I never finish what I start so they wouldn't pay for my college. Funny thing, about 6 years ago I went back to the technical college to take a career test to see what I should take (want to do something different with my life now) and the test came back that I should be an archaeologist. I took the test results and visited my mom and showed it to her. i was actually upset with her. I wish I would have just done it and sent them the bill. Now I'm looking for a job with working with elderly and being an activities director or assistant with arts and crafts. (elders - dinosaurs LOL)
Hello,
Its really a interesting question. Sometimes i also asked it from myself.
Well, when i was 10 years of age then i used to see dreams of be a naval officer. But as times passes my mind change i started thinking of be an CID officer till i was 18 n i tried really hard for this but unfortunately my mom refused to accept this field.
Now, to be a CID officer is only in my dreams which i know i cant ever fullfill.
But not to be sad now i am trying to be an Computer engineer.
