Are you depressed if you feel like you have nothing left to live for?
I feel that I have nothing to live for. My best friend could die in the next few year. Im stressed at school and am scared of the future. I have GCSE's next year and am worried I won't make it that far. What am I surposed to do? I have nothing left to loose, so why am I still here?
Answer:
You were born into this world, that makes you precious. You are here for a purpose even though you don't know yet what it is. We all go through some bad times, that's life and we will have to learn to cope with it. As the years pass you will get stronger. So, head up high, look people in the eye, put a smile on your face, draw on your inner strength and you will cope with every challenge that comes your way.
See your Doctor
It looks like you might need a therapist to work out why you re so angry and this is repressed and causing depression
Life isnt the sum of your worries. You must observe yourself from a slight distance. Why do you dwell on your problems? Try not to think in words so much, usually we just beat ourselves up in our minds when we use a "talky voice" in our heads. Find some hugs. Create new patterns. The world has both dark and light, be a seeker of the light. You have to change yourself, no one else can change you.
Hun- sounds like you got depression. We all been there some4 time sweety. You go talk to your doctor and maybe he can help even just by talking about it to someone may make it feel better.
Stay strong hun- you'll work everything out.
Felling that you have nothing left to live for is a symptom of depression, but depression is not diagnosed based on that alone. Other factors are taken into consideration. read the link listed below.
Overall you sound scared. You're worried about failure, about loss, about the future. You don't have a goal or dream to focus on, so you are fretting about everything that scares you and makes you feel insignificant.
friend there i had the same feelings when i was in your age . i overcomed that now im happy, just remember study is just apart of life not the whole.you try your best and leave result to fate .and be happy to face the failure in course of time every body will call you mr.winner
You have the Whole world at your feet, so much to look forward to and so many possibility's too !, believe me when i say there are people so much worse off than yourself, i have lost family and dear friends, and i have a lot of medical problems, but i have two wonderful children and two absolutely fantastic grandchildren as well, and its these things that make us strong and make life worthwhile.
And if you decide to end it you won't just be destroying your life but the life's of your parents and family and friends too.
Be strong, do happy things, help others, be there for your friend and family too.
Love life and life will love you !!.
Welcome to the club. But I think that most of us feel like that sometimes in life.Be strong and it'll pass and you'll be well again.
Yeah-its a lifelong thing with me,best friend died ,failure after failure. really no lie -but as corny as it sounds ,out of all my failures , there are successes that come out of them ,like my marriage, over with divorce. But my daughters ,are worth all my misery and shame combined. Because if I didn't at least have a go at it [normal life, success] They would never have came about. I'm fourty years into this life and I have had stuff happen to me that "badluck Schleprock" wouldn't believe himself! But if the law of averages are on your side [as they are] just keep going at it ,and it will get better!
It's very difficult when things start to get on top of you like this to see the positive. Putting you're feelings on the answer board is one way to get yourself heard but you really should go and seek help. If you are unable to speak to your parents go to a GP or professional body like someone at school. It's not so unusual to feel like this at times, particularly when you have so many things going on at once.
Also have a look at the NHS website they have info on other bodies that can help you. Depression is a condition that many people suffer from at one time or another. Often it only happens the once because you can learn ways to deal with your feelings, so do yourself a favour and seek help from those who can really advise you. Then you'll be able to see exactly why your here and why you're so special.

Yes and yes
I just went through the same phase. I was so upset, I was thinking of ending it all. Nothing seemed important anymore. But my love and my friends were by my side, who got me through it. They showed me that there are people who will be shattered if I made such a silly mistake of ending my life. I can tell you the same thing... think of the people you love, people who love you, think how shattered they will be if something happened to you, they'll completely break down. So think twice about those people before you do something silly.
Youre young and have your whole life ahead of you, talk to someone about how your feeling if it gets worse or you feel like doing something stupid i suggest you talk to your doctor, things will improve. Good luck
Seriously. Get the book 'Journey of Souls' by Dr Michael Newton and read it. You can get it on amazon.co.uk or in Waterstones
