How does a skipping rope help a child's social and emotional development?

Answer:
NICE QUESTION...Boys or Girls?
Apart from teaching coordination, and being part of a group, not much.
It can help them to relate to their peers by skipping in a group or by asking others to turn the rope whilst they skip. Learning the new skill of skipping enhances self esteem as would the praise given by peer group or adults.
Does it?
Is this a trick question? I don't know.
